Heart-to-Heart was founded by the late Fr. Jim Willig in 1991, primarily to name and describe the parish missions that he was preaching once a month throughout the diocese of Cincinnati. Each of the four evenings of the Mission was given a slightly different title:
Sunday—A Healthy Heart, Monday—A Change of Heart,
Tuesday—A Broken Heart, and Wednesday—A New Heart.

Fr. Jim said, "Heart to Heart worked well as the title of my Parish Mission since it described the focus for each evening. It also named the spirit of the Mission itself and the style of my preaching (i.e. from the heart)."

Fr. Jim drew many people into a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ through his Sunday homilies and "Evening" and "Lunch with the Lord" Gospel Study programs. His daily example of what it meant to be a true follower of Jesus Christ lead many others to join him on this faith journey.

"Cor a cor loquitor," translated from Latin, means, "heart speaks to heart." This quote, taken from a saying by John Cardinal Newman, is the basis of the name of this ministry. This name was chosen because we at Heart to Heart believe this is how the "Good News" of the Bible is spread—from one heart, on fire with the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, speaking to another heart. This is also how Fr. Jim evangelized—saving one heart at a time.

Fr. Jim was welcomed home by our Heavenly Father, Mother Mary and all the Angels and Saints on June 24, 2001. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time he left this world, to spend eternity in paradise.

VISION: Heart to Heart is dedicated to spreading the "Good News" of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the four corners of the earth. The Lord has provided us with marvelous instruments to use in spreading His "Good News" of the Gospel and of Holy Scripture through the world wide web, inspirational audiotapes, videos, CDs and books.
